We take this opportunity to engage with the researchers, policy makers and industry players involved in poultry products, technologies, services and innovations. Our seminar focused on critical topics facing the poultry industry today namely restricting antimicrobial use, nutrient requirement under hot environment, managing gut health and fly control. These issues are critical because of the impact on food safety, efficient performance and environmental-friendly agriculture which issues pose major challenges and can undermine the sustainability, competitiveness and resilience of the local poultry industry to compete internationally in export market, and thus need to be thoroughly addressed. The Malaysian poultry industry needs to re-orientate itself to meet the challenges of a global market and market-driven world.
